It sounds like a communist movement, but The People's Web is actually dedicated to online commerce, Zoe Strimpel writes. Set up as a cheaper alternative to internet traders such as eBay, it lets you buy, sell, swap and advertise as much as you want for a fixed yearly fee.
Individuals can set up an account for £5. Small businesses pay £25 and those who want The People's Web to manage their account for them pay £100 a year. The site does note charge additional fees per item advertised or sold. Zoe Strimpel, The Saturday Times |
